Week One in The Books!

The week began with a snow covered field, freezing conditions and numb toes and ended with a sunny Friday afternoon shoot-around.  The sophomore semi-formal  resulted in the excused abscence of many players so Friday was fun filled day of shooting and contests.
The team looked pretty good at the end of the first week, but needs to take steps to ensure its success this season. The Lady Mustangs have a busy week ahead with two scrimmages and much work to do in preperation. Please take our survey at the bottom of the page.

Scrimmage schedule is as follows:
March 29, 4PM Pentucket Regional @ Medford
March 31, 4PM Newton North @ Medford
April 4, 4PM Lowell @ Medford.

All games played on Edgerly field turf.

Practice Recap--Day 1

BRRRRRR I'M FREEEEEEZZZZZZIIIINNNNGGGGGGG!!!!!!!
 It was so cold and snowy today, not ideal conditions.
Highlights from day one: O'B got frostbite on her toes and poor Michaela got bonked in the face by an errant shot. Luckily we all survived.
Welcome to  lacrosse in New England. It was kind of surreal playing lax on a snow covered turf field in sub zero conditions! Where did the sunny 70 degree weather go? That being said, the coaching staff came to the conclusion that the first day of tryouts was basically a bust.

 We'll get at it again tomorrow, all three levels at 3 PM on the top field.

PLEASE DRESS ACCORDINGLY and plan on being at practice until 5:15-5:30

Dress For the Elements

All girls trying out should layer their clothing. You never know what the weather will be like, and Edgerly Field is always windy.

Tryout Schedule

Tryouts will begin Monday, March 21 at 3PM on the field. Please bring sneakers and cleats as we will be running our timed two mile run on the track before we get on the field. Plan on 3 days of drills to dtermine the final Varsity and Junior Varsity squads. If you do not have a valid physical exam on file with the nurses office YOU CAN'T TRYOUT---NO EXCEPTIONS.


Scrimmages will be on March 29 vs Pentucket, March 31 vs Newton North and April 4 vs Lowell. All scrimmages will be at home on Edgerly Field at 4PM.
